Dear Leenaji,
Thanks for your kind remarks. Today the environment appears to be more conducive towards getting the Inscript keyboard used.
It was thoughtful of the organizers to gift me an Inscript Keyboard at the function. I immediately installed it on my 12 yr old daughter's computer. I had as such briefed her about Inscript earlier, but because of lack of letters on the keyboard, she never had come around to using it. Now, to my surprise, she not only did started typing away, but soon summoned up the courage to write an email in Hindi and send it to her school friends. The school friends were quite surprised and this new skill o Avanti, soon became the talk of the class.
Today, we have to get the Inscript keyboard as part of the computer curriculum. This way, the student's will discover the simplicity and scientific structure of their languages as compared to English. They will be able to learn touch-typing much more easily on Inscript rather than QWERTY, because the prior was designed with that in mind. They will be able to type in the uniform way for all the Indian languages, leading to national integration. Above all they will have the pride on their languages, which will ensure that they will continue to co-exist in the future.
All this will happen, with the small steps which we take today. Let us urge the Maharashtra schools, to adopt this - now that the CM is also for it. Let us make them discover the difference.
